This sprays a thin film onto the wound which covers the wound and provides some protection
It also helps ensure that the wound does not dry out, which prevents the skin cracking and therefore aids wound healing
It is not designed to absorb wound exudate and therefore there is no point in using it on infected or exuding wounds
